TSH stands for Thyroid Stimulating Hormone. It is the hormone that your pituitary gland sends to your thyroid gland to tell it how hard to work. When the thyroid is not doing a good job of producing the thyroid hormones T3 and T4, the TSH signal is boosted. The higher the TSH, the lower your thyroid function.
Your TSH is quite high, suggesting a low thyroid function. In countries where iodine deficiency is common, simple iodine supplementation would often restore thyroid function.
However, in most developed countries, iodine deficiency is extremely rare. Most cases of low thyroid are caused by the body’s immune system attacking the thyroid gland, causing a chronic, mild degree of inflammation in the gland.
There are really no reliable natural dietary or herbal supplements that are going to kickstart your thyroid to get it from a TSH of 22 to normal range.
If you are really determined to go the natural way, it would not be harmful to try some herbal or accupuncture methods for say 3-6 months (if your energy level allows you to go that long) but if you are feeling no better and your level remains that high, then I would suggest following your physician’s advice and starting on a thyroid supplement pill daily. There is no medical way to boost thyroid function. You can only supplement the thyroid hormone your body is not making enough of.

I have some ideas that may help but I don’t personally understand your condition without further test for t-2 t-3 t-4 s…. however , the Chinese use acupuncture and /or dietary regimen w/ plenty of seaweed and other sea plants and sea vegetables(all iodine rich) for hyperthyroid .
these help in moderate cases only .
if it’s hypo then iodine-rich foods such as seafood shellfish seaweed and other sea vegetables or supplements of tyrosine suggested dose 250 mg.per day
Increases intake of foods rich in vit.A , C ,& E plus niacin and zinc
Avoid peanuts, cabbage, soybeans and mustard all foods that inhibit the body’s use of iodine.
    peaceout

plz dont ignore your health.dont try alternative medicine to treat your thyroid problem as it will not work.all you have to do is take a tablet every day and it does not have any side effect.once your thyroid problem increases it will take longer time to treat it
