I’m Considering Using Henna To Colour My Hair. Has Anyone Used A Red One?
I was told that I should use the red henna from Lush (https://www.lush.co.uk/index.php?page=sh… as it apparently gives a really nice bright red shade. I’ve used a cherry red for years but they seem to have discontinued the Herbal Essences one I use. I was then told by someone else that red henna gives a more ginger colour than a bright red. Has anyone used it and does anyone have any advice/opinions?
Thank you in advance
What is your natural hair color?
My hair is naturally medium brown and I have been dyeing it red for quite a few years now. I am a fan of the really bright reds… (I have used Herbal Essences hair color in the brightest red multiple times.) Since I work at Lush I wanted to try the hennas because they are much more healthy for your hair than chemical dyes. The thing about the hennas is that they don’t lift the natural color of your hair… meaning the darker your hair is naturally, the more subtle the results of the henna will be. It is like a sheer coating over the hair strand. I wasn’t getting the bright red that I wanted, and yes, it was more of a natural looking red-orange and you could see a line where I had stopped using chemical dyes. Needless to say, I went back to using chemical dyes.
So, if you like your hair bright red and don’t have naturally light colored hair, I wouldn’t recommend the hennas to you.
I’d go to a hair salon if i was you to ask for further advice, henna can make it difficult if you’d like to go lighter in the future. I used to use nice n easy. It was brilliant…my hair was so vibrant. But i went back to dark brown because i was bored.
I absolutely love red hair, and the color I get from using all natural henna dye from here.http://www.hennacaravan.com/shop/hair.ht…
Everyone loves my hair color too!! and it looks so beautiful and is easy to maintain.
do it red is a great color!!!
are u scared? i
Authentic henna gives red colour and henna is a good idea but I hope you know it is a drying agent so you need to put oil and half an hour after oiling you need to apply henna and that also for 45 minutes only
If you have grey hair then it will turn reddish You need to add 2 egg yolks and 4 table spoon of yoghurt and it should be like a cake batter and to achieve that add water after the yolk and yoghurt.
As for oil it can be coconut oil or almond oil or there is a 100% natural lotion It is lotion which is a natural formula made of essential oils such as coconut, olive, avocado and Aragon (from the Atlas Mountains) with extracts from fresh fruits, green plants including rose petals, cinnamon sticks.
Oils and extracts of fruits and green plants penetrate rapidly through the scalp, providing rich and deep nourishment to hair follicles and it gets strengthened. It is Ziravie, I used to but it in Spain but it is available on ebay.co.uk and the ID is hair-treatment.
After henna and shampoo do make sure you use a conditioner
Don’t dye your hair red. It’s ugly.
I’m a natural redhead.
I can’t stand all these dumb girls who think dying their hair my color is a good idea.
It’s obvious in a second that it’s not natural, especially when those roots show up. And I’ve heard horror stories about the Henna.
Go carmel brown or darker brown with highlights or something.
EDIT: Yes, I think those famous people aren’t pretty at all. And since I’ve been a redhead since I was born, I grew up being teased and tormented for having an odd hair color.
So forgive me for resenting my color!
I won’t be changing my opinion. I got two thumbs down for stating my opinion? Pathetic.
Fine, go ahead, keep dying your hair. I really couldn’t care less what you do. Sure, go ahead and say I have serious issues, just because you wish you could have red hair naturally. Jealousy isn’t flattering, my dear.
