I’m 47 Years Old And Suffering From Allergic Cough. I Have Been Coughing Up Greenish Phlegm. No Fever & Colds.?
What herbal medication should I take? I’m already taking ginger root tea and 400 mgs of magnesium, green tea extract and grape seed extract.
SPUTUM(Phlegm) COLOR IS THE KEY TO TREATING ACUTE COPD EXACERBATIONS .
Just by examining the sputum, it is possible to tell which patients with acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) have a respiratory infection likely to require antibiotics. If the sputum is green or yellow, such an infection is probably present. But white or clear sputum suggests that a patient does not have a bacterial respiratory infection.

HI,
its better to go to a doctor without delay, so that he can advise you accordingly.
i too suffered from similar problem 5 years back. I didnt want to go to doctor but blindly did whateve people told me…but i didnt get any relief…then one of my neighbour, who was a senior nurse, told me to stop everything and just take plain steam (inhale the hot water vapour) everyday in the morning and evening….i did that. i didnt have time in the morning since i am a working lady, so i took steam without fail everyday…it took some 15 days for me recover completely but i got relieved and till now i didnt get that cough again…i was so severely attacked that even my nose was blocked and i couldnt even smell and after the above practice, my nose block also got cleared…
you may try this…but this take time..as of now..take some medicine for immediate relief and then you may try this steam method to get over the root of the problem.
all the best
green phlegm indicates that you have an infection in your respiratory system (maybe in the bronchi). Go to the doctors and he’ll prescribe an antiobiotic.
take plenty of vitamin c to boost your immune system in the meantime. Also, remember to drink lots of fluid to hydrate yourself and loosen up the mucous.
You take lemon juce one cup after one hour of day meal, One full lemon in half cup water, continiue for 7 days. Have warm water 24hrs (always) intead of normal water. Have raw Ginger not the root, 1 inch size two time during each meal. after seven days if you feel no improvement then go for doctor.
Actually, green means infection & that is the time for medical intervention. No cough syrups are going to rid an infection. The doctor usually gives me a prescription for Amoxicillin & it clears things up in a week or so.
have you gone to the doctors?
If you don’t want anything drugy you can just say I want herbal stuff or you might just have to take drugs.
This sounds like pneumonia to me, you need to go to a doctor to get better.
GET YE TO A DOCTOR!!!
