if there is nothing …nothing to make water purified…we got to place it in sun for a day or two under cover to make it purified ….but herbs …i dont guess they can be of good use.

Alum stone is best disinfectant. it is available in all herbal stores in India. it is commonly called as Pitkari.www.unanidoctors.com

Just boil it to kill the biggest part of bacteria.

No, you have to boil water to disinfect it. Herbal extracts can be blended into the water after it is boiled.
