I Have A Kitten With Allergies And Want Some Home And Herbal Remedies That May Help.?

I actually have 4 kittens now, one died Christmas Eve. Thing is I had them to the local vet and he said he didn’t see nothing wrong with them just gave them some worming med. 2 of the kittens are real healthy but the other 2 are kid of sickly. I know they have some kind of sinus allergy I just have no idea what to. Sure it can be numerous things but right now I am worried that the 1 kitten may develop pneumonia cause her eyes are really watery and she is breathing poorly through her nose, no sign of it being in her lungs YET. Some home remedies for humans I know will not work for kittens but the vet I did call said if she sounds like any wheezing has developed in her lungs to just use my sons amoxilcillin and gave me the measuement I should give after telling him how many Mg it was. He some some home remedies are not all bad such as a vaporizor and warm baths to help keep her sinus’s moist. Any other ideas to help that do not involve medicne that isn’t prescribed and can harm her?

wow…I’m amazed your vet would tell you to use your son’s antibiotic. A good vet dispenses medications based on weight, age and overall health.
Could you find another vet instead of waiting a month or call the one you have appt in a month and tell them the kittens symptoms because they may know it sounds like an emergency and have you come in right away. I know your kittens health just won’t wait because it really sounds like your kittens have upper respiratory infections which can be deadly if not treated with the right type of antibiotics (as you may know there are many types).
Also I don’t know if you realize that most over the counter medications are super deadly for cats (Aspirin especially will kill cats even in a small dose). A good vet would be able to verify this info.
I found these websites which identifies symptoms of upper respiratory in cats and I hope this will help you think about finding another vet asap because in young kittens this kills them quickly http://cats.about.com/cs/healthissues/a/…http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?…
